Meal - US$ 460-470 pmt fob Kandla/Bedi port
The
sbm prices had slipped down to 455-460 early this week but bounced back
to 460-470 level today. The prices for soymeal has been at this level
since last month with minor fluctuations. The damage to soy crop in South
America is keeping the meal prices on high though the exports had shown
the declining trend in the year 2009. India has advantage of freight over
its American competitors for supply to far east asia. Argentine origin
is at around usd 410-415, US meal at 435-450 and Brazilian soybean meal
at usd 415-420 on fob basis.

Rice bran meal - US$ 145-148 pmt fob Kakinada port
The prices for all other vegetable meals too like sbm were
almost on same level as last month with minor variations. Indian sbm usually
moves in tandem with US Cbot soymeal futures while other meals moves in
conjunction with sbm.
