Seed - Jeera Machine Cleaned 99%-US$ 2725-2750 fob Kandla / Mundra

The jeera prices have moved up this week due to good export demand as prices of other origins are on higher side. The weather shall play an important role in coming days for future movements. At present its looks favorable for production so despite overseas demand prices may remain stable. Turkey prices are indicatively at usd 2900 per ton fob Izmir port.

Though the futures contracts showed marginal drop today, Nov and Dec contracts had moved up this week by more than 1.5%.

Jeera Futures (approx in US$ / per 100kg) - Nov - 292, Dec - 300.5, Jan - 305.5, Feb - 311

Black Pepper MGI - US$ 3325-3350 pmt fob Kochi port

The pepper prices once again moved up due to domestic demand. The upward movement could have been more but due to the availability of other origins at lesser prices. Brazilian origin is at around US$ 3000 per ton fob while Vietnamese and Indonesian origins too are at discount to Indian produce.

The futures prices dropped down today but were up this week compared to last week's closing.
