The prices for jeera have dropped down during last two weeks
due to limited demand and expectation of good crop in Middle east which
will hit the market by next month. Futures contracts for cumin seed dropped
down by around 2-2.6% in last four days. The prices for jeera on exchanges
for june contracts are much below than the spot price so june contract
might move up in coming days and physical market price may drop to ensure
parity before june contract expires. The july contract was trading at
around usd 224.5 per 100kg while august futures was at nearly usd 227.3.

The June futures were trading at nearly USD 92.5 and july at 95.2 per
100kg.
Turmeric: (fob Mumbai port)
FAQ: 1200-1250
Europe: 1250-1300
The june contracts moved up by nearly 4.3% this week, while july futures
jumped by more than 2%. The near month contract was trading at approx.
usd 108.2 per 100kg while july @ usd 107 and aug @ usd 107.3.
