Cottonseed Oilcake Cotton-seed Oilcake is one of the most important oilcake used in feed industry. Its local demand is so high that export is very limited. It is actively traded in markets as well on commodity exchanges for futures trading. It is also known to be used as organic manure due to contents of nitrogen, potash and phosphorus in it. Cotton is mainly grown in western and southern India. The sowing is done during June-July period and harvesting starts from October. The other main producers are China & US.
