The prices jumped up by almost 1% after showing the drop
to start the week with. The good export demand and news of lower crop in Syria
and Turkey is fuelling the Indian cumin prices. Syrian production is estimated
in the region of 18000-22000 tonnes. 23rd June - 2800-2900
The cumin
prices once again were pulled down due to drop in export and local demand on higher
prices. So the commodity prices
saw the correction. 21st June - The cumin commodity prices showed slight
correction in local market after lifting itself up continuously for last few days.
The export prices remains unchanged at 2825-2925. 19th june - 2825-2925
The cumin prices are getting firmer day by day due to good export demand and lower
output news of other countries. The cumin commodity futures too are going strong. 18th
June - US$ 2800-2900
The cumin machine cleaned was once again up due to good
export demand. Though the harvest season is over, this year assumptions are there
that farmers still have good stock which are yet to come to the market so the
arrivals are lesser than demand pushing the cumin prices upwards. The futures
market is also going firm giving indication that the new crop of competitors (Middle
East countries) may not be able to ruin the Indian cumin party. 17th June

The cumin commodity prices
have once again shot up due to good export demand and expectations of lower output

Though the arrivals from Middle East are expected in next month, the cumin prices
in India is shooting up as right now importers have to buy from Indian market

The cumin
seed prices were up as the arrivals are on the slower side due to the
end of harvesting season. Also the rains in cumin region is keeping the supply
slow in the markets. The prices may drop from this level as crop of Middle east
countries is expected by next month. 12th June
