in US$ PMT FOB port, India) 29th Aug - US$ 1190-1220 The
prices of niger seed showed the drop after safflower went down. Both of these
seeds are widely used as bird seed in E.U. and U.S. 27th Aug - U$ 1200-1240 Though
the prices in the local market were up slightly the appreciation of dollar against
rupee helped it to keep it at the same level for overseas buyers. 18th
Aug - U$ 1200-1240 Though the local prices were up the depriciating rupee
kept the prices in dollar terms on lower side. 14th Aug - 1210-1250
The niger remained almost on the same level though it was up in local markets
but rupee depriciation helped to keep export prices unchanged. 12th Aug - US$ 1210-1250. 8th Aug - US$ 1215-1260
The niger's declining trend is yet to stop 5th August - US$ 1235-1275
The prices of niger seed continuously has seen the negative price movement due
to decline in overseas demand. Niger seed is mainly used as bird seed in feeders. 31st
July - US$ 1260-1300 The niger prices showed tremendous decline in prices
due to good monsoon in its growing area. Although the niger prices have seen some
correction this week, it may move up again. 25th July- US$ 1315-1350
The niger prices were down in the local market but the stronger rupee checked
its downward movement with exporters unable to pass the benefit of lower prices
to overseas buyers. |
