The sesame after moving up so fast have shown the drop by around 2%. This
season the sesame production is less so fluctuations are high. The new season
crop is expected higher as farmers have shown interest in sesame due to
its high prices this season thus increasing the land area of sesame sowing
replacing cotton in its major producing region.
19th June - 98/2 - 1940-2000
The sesame prices have moved up on good export demand. Russia has approved
additional labs for testing sesame consignments otherwise earlier there
was only one approved lab.
17th June - 98/2 - US$ 1900-1975
95/5 - US$ 1825-1875
Sesame prices today almost remained on the same level.
16th June - 98/2 - US$ 1900-1975
The sesame commodity have shown some drop in its prices.
13th June
98/2 - US$ 1925-2000
95/5 - US$ 1850-1900
The sesame seed prices are continuously going in the upward direction.
The heavy rains and limited stock of sesame is making the prices to jump
up.
12th June - 98/2 - US$ 1800-1850
Sesame prices have once again showed the upward movement. This year the
production has shown the decline so the prices as well the fluctuations
are high.
7th June
Sesame Seed 98/2 - US$ 1715-1785
Sesame 95/5 - US$ 1650-1700
The prices moved up once again.
4th June
Natural White Sesame Seed 98/2 - 1700-1775
The prices after dropping substantially have once again gained tremendous
ground. The sesame tend to move up and down and rarely stays stable.
2nd June
White Sesame Seed 98/2 - US$ 1525-1600
The prices of sesame crashed down dropping consecutively for five days
in local market. Sesame is highly speculative oilseed as it is dominated
by speculators.
