Though
the spot prices were almost on the same level this week, the appreciating
rupee made cumin dearer on export front. The futures prices showed drop
of more than 1.5% in last 3 days due to increased arrivals and also can
be seen as correction as it had moved up quite substantially in last few
days. The may futures were approx. trading at US$ 251.5 while june contracts
at 255.4 and july futures at US$ 258.1 per 100kg.
Coriander Seed: US$ 900-950 pmt fob Kandla / Mundra

The prices for coriander were down by around 3.8% in local
market but the stronger rupee halted its slide in dollar terms yet it
was down compared to earlier in the week. The april futures were trading
at around US$ 88.4 and may contracts at US$ 91 per 100kg.
Turmeric: (fob Mumbai port)
FAQ: 1050-1075
Europe: 1100-1150
Though the turmeric prices were down in Indian market, the
dollar went weaker, thereby export prices remained almost unchanged.
