The jeera prices have shown heavy fluctuation during last few days at it went up due to falling rupee but later dropped down because of new arrivals. There is huge difference between spot price and March futures. The march and may contracts are trading at approx. US$ 227 and 233 per 100kg. The export and domestic demand is expected to go higher but with new harvest the prices may remain in balance.

Coriander Seed: US$ 825-850 pmt fob Kandla / Mundra port

The prices for coriander went down due to weaker rupee. The april and may futures contracts were approx. trading at US$ 81.4 and 82.8 per 100kg.

The prices for turmeric has gone up by almost 4% in spot market while it went up by around 6.5% to 7.5% in futures market due to good local and overseas demand as well due to drop in production. The apr and may contract were approx. trading at US$ 93.6 and 93.8 per 100kg.
